Danny Murphy has suggested that Liverpool would have a scarier front three if Kylian Mbappe replaced Roberto Firmino.

Murphy appeared on talkSPORT and discussed Bayern Munich's interest in Firmino and suggested the Brazilian would not be irreplaceable.

"Could you get in another striker for Liverpool who scores as many goals as Firmino? Yes," the former Liverpool midfielder suggested.

"Football does move on if someone leaves. Is he replaceable? Yes.

"If Liverpool were to lose Firmino and go and get [Kylian] Mbappe, would that be a more scary front three? Would he complement the other two as much?

"I think if Mbappe was playing upfront with Mane and Salah, it would be more scary than playing with Firmino, Mane and Salah."

French sensation Mbappe is currently at Paris Saint-Germain but many suggest he could look to leave France soon for a new challenge.

Liverpool fans have spent the season getting #Mbappe2020 trending on multiple occasions.

The thought of Mbappe playing up front with Mane and Salah either side of him is frightening.

But Firmino is an important part of Jurgen Klopp's side and is regarded by some as one of the world's elite forwards.

One of those is Brazil legend and Ballon d'Or winner Kaka.

The former AC Milan midfielder spoke glowingly of the 28-year-old last week and told Sky Sports:

"Alisson is the best goalkeeper in the world right now, Fabinho is one of the best midfielders, and Firmino and (Luis) Suarez are the best strikers in the world.

"Firmino understands his place on the field and changes his position. He doesn't stay in the box the whole time, he comes and gets the ball and creates the plays.

"For me, as a Brazilian, it's really good to see them having this great success in the Premier League."

Firmino has scored eight goals in the Premier League and registered seven assists, while Mbappe has registered 15 goals and assisted six.

Do you think Mbappe would make Liverpool's front three more dangerous?
