Brazil international Arthur has revealed the big difference between playing alongside Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

The midfielder moved from Barcelona to Juventus this summer with Miralem Pjanic going the other way. When asked to compare Ronaldo and Messi as teammates, he had huge praise for both.

However he also admitted: "Compared to Messi, Ronaldo talks more and is more accessible. He never backs down if there is a teammate in need, and he inspires fierce determination.

"He trains like an animal, he doesn't know what a break is, and he always encourages you to do your best. He leaves nothing to chance."

Arthur was talking to Spanish outlet AS (per GOAL) and is in a unique position to compare the two greatest players of this century, having shared a dressing room with both in 2020.

"They're champions above all else," said the 24-year-old. "In this, Messi and Ronaldo are identical. Concentrated from start to finish, always.

"If they score three goals, they immediately think of the fourth. They never disconnect. It's impressive and at the same time motivating, because they push you to do your best."

Clearly Arthur appreciated the influence of both of his great teammates, but there is a hint that Ronaldo is more open with his teammates in the dressing room.

"Each one has his type of leadership. Messi is a little more introverted, but when he has to impose himself, he imposes himself," the Brazilian says.

On Ronaldo, Arthur explains that he was crucial for helping him settle in at Juventus this summer - helped by the fact that they share the same native language of Portuguese.

However Arthur admits he's still in awe of the early morning training routines and relentless dedication that the 35-year-old Juventus No 7 puts himself through.

"I already knew it because people talk, the world of football is small and they tell you about it. They tell you what he does, but when you see it up close it is impressive," Arthur told Marca.

"There are days when we get back at two in the morning because we played late and he starts training.

"Who does that? Cristiano. I joke and tell him that he is sick, but what are you going to say to someone who has so many Ballon d'Ors. Mentally he is very strong."
