Lionel Messi and Barcelona were back at Camp Nou for the first time since the coronavirus lockdown against Leganes, and the Argentinian maestro was back at it again.

With La Liga finally back underway, it was only a matter of time for two inevitabilities to happen. Firstly, Messi making his return to Camp Nou, the historic home of Barcelona. And also, the Argentine embarrassing a copious amount of defenders in his way to the goal.

Yesterday was no surprise then after his consistent touches of the ball left the majority of the Leganes defence clutching at straws. However, one player for Leganes, Unai Bustinza, thought of a questionable way to dispossess Messi.

In what would be described as a combination of a rugby tackle and a spear from WWE, Bustinza wrapped both his arms around Messi's midsection and took the Ballon d'Or winner down after he had just been dribbled past.

The 'tackle' by Bustinza drew many reactions on social media and showed to the casual viewer how hard it is to stop arguably the best player to ever grace a football pitch.

Messi went on to score his 699th career goal yesterday, and his 21st this season in only 24 games. His goal from the penalty spot as well put him only five behind Cristiano Ronaldo for most penalties in La Liga history. The Argentine now has 56 in comparison to Ronaldo's 61.

Maybe we'll see more players adopt this method if it means they can stop the Argentine and not get sent off in the process.
