Watching a team get torn apart on the counter by two players with a magical understanding is one of the most thrilling sights in football.

Few teams showed that better than Sir Alex Ferguson's Manchester United - and few players did so with more flair than a young Cristiano Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney.

Unluckily for Bolton, 13 years ago today, they got a taste of that after Ronaldo picked up the ball inside his own area.

Cue a perfect takedown and pass, a backheel from Rooney, Ronaldo turning on the afterburners, then a through-ball back to Wayne with a lovely dinked finish.

The whole move went the length of the pitch in around 10 seconds - and no Bolton player even got near stopping them. The end result was a 4-1 win at Old Trafford.

It's incredible to watch and a reminder of how unplayable this duo were together.

Their blistering form - each scoring 23 goals across the season - helped Fergie's side rip the Premier League title back from Jose Mourinho's Chelsea machine in 2006/07.

A year later, they were adding another league title plus the Champions League trophy, spearheaded by these two who offered speed, skill, finishing and fantastic understanding.

Are they the best pair of attackers to combine together in the Premier League? Or do you have a preferred dynamic duo?
