Almeria Owner Hilariously Gives Zinedine Zidane The 'Materazzi Headbutt'

Almeria Owner Hilariously Gives Zinedine Zidane The 'Materazzi Headbutt'

Almeria owner Turki Al-Sheikh has posted a hilarious video of him with Zinedine Zidane poking fun at the infamous World Cup final headbutt.

The Saudi businessman posted a video with the Frenchman to Twitter and it starts off innocently enough.

However, he then jokingly decides to plant his head into Zidane's chest, similar to what the Frenchman did to Italian defender Marco Materazzi 14 years ago.

His tweet also translates to 'It has been hard, right? Arab blood!'

It's a priceless video and Zidane himself can't help but crack a smile at the joke.

Despite this, the 47-year-old probably thought the gesture was rather bizarre.

Materazzi himself also reacted to the video and it's safe to say he enjoyed it too.

Twitter also reacted to the video poking fun at one of the World Cup's most infamous moments.

The headbutt has lived on in the memory of many and it's still one of football's most shocking moments.

In 2006, Zidane decided that after the World Cup he would retire from football despite being only 34.

He played a massive part in France getting to the final and they took on Italy in Zizou's final ever match.

With the score 1-1 and just 10 minutes away from a penalty shootout, Zidane engaged in debate with Materazzi that ended in the headbutt.

It was a bizarre reaction that seemed to come from nothing.

The Italian defender would go on to reveal what he said that sparked such a response.

"I talked about his sister not his mother, like I have read in some newspapers. My mother died while I was a teenager, I would never insult his."

He proceeded to be sent off for the attack and his final game ended with him walking down the tunnel and past the World Cup trophy.

Italy would go on to win the game 5-3 on penalties and seal their first World Cup win in over 20 years.
