Cristiano Ronaldo’s bombshell interview with Piers Morgan will include a conversation about Lionel Messi guaranteed to make “huge headlines”.

Ronaldo’s full 90-minute TalkTV interview will be released in two parts, with the first airing this evening (16 Nov) and the second being shown tomorrow night (17 Nov).

So far, we know the Portugal star discussed feeling “betrayed” by Man Utd and not respecting manager Erik ten Hag. Elsewhere, the 37-year-old claimed that club owners, The Glazers, “don’t care about the club” and was scathing of former teammates Wayne Rooney and Gary Neville.

Since the interview was announced last Sunday evening, fans have asked whether Ronaldo discusses his long-time rival, Messi.

Messi chat will cause “headlines”

Morgan confirmed that Paris Saint-Germain star Messi was discussed during the interview and that Ronaldo’s comments will make “headlines”.

The broadcaster tweeted: "Lots of people asking if Ronaldo talks about Messi in my interview…

“Oh yes, and what he says will make huge headlines.”

Messi and Ronaldo have dominated football for the past 15 years and are both regarded as two of the greatest footballers of all time.

Their rivalry was also perpetuated by each of them representing fierce rivals Barcelona and Real Madrid while in their prime.

While the Portugal star has scored more goals than Messi, the Argentina international has more goals per season than his counterpart and has also provided far more assists for his teammates.

Ronaldo however is the all-time leading Champions League goalscorer and has netted more times in World Cup tournaments than his Argentinian rival.
