Fans think Cristiano Ronaldo was 'multitasking' vs Al Ettifaq by being a player and manager at the same time

Fans think Cristiano Ronaldo was 'multitasking' vs Al Ettifaq by being a player and manager at the same time

Al Nassr missed out on the Saudi Pro League title after a 1-1 draw against Al Ettifaq.

Fans are convinced Cristiano Ronaldo was 'multitasking' for Al Nassr in their Saudi Pro League side clash against Al Ettifaq by being a player and a manager at the same time.

It was a Saturday to forget for Al Nassr, who conceded the league title to Al Ittihad after they could only manage a point at the Prince Mohammad bin Fahd Stadium in Dammam.

Al Ittihad currently sit five points clear of Al Nassr in the SPL standings with a game remaining.

Cristiano Ronaldo, meanwhile, failed to find the net on Saturday night and was substituted in the 84th minute, despite the away side needing a goal to remain in the hotly-contested title race.

Ronaldo, who has scored 14 goals in 16 league games for Al Nassr, tried his utmost to get his side back in the game.

In fact, the 38-year-old forward was handing out very specific instructions to his teammates on a regular basis, leading fans to speculate about his position at the club.

One fan commented: "Cristiano on the field playing and giving instructions to his teammates on every other pass lmao."

Another Twitter user then posted the below video of Ronaldo pointing to where his Al Nassr teammates should pass, saying: "That Al Nassr team is a joke, Ronaldo multi tasking by being a player and a manager at the same time."

Ronaldo is certainly on board with the project at Al Nassr.

On Tuesday night, after scoring the winner against Al Shabab to earn all three points, the five-time Ballon d'Or winner said the Saudi Pro League will become one of the top five leagues in the world.

"We are much better and the Saudi league is getting better and next year will be even better," the striker said in his post match interview.

"Step-by-step I think this league will be among the top five leagues in the world but they need time, players and infrastructure.

"But I believe that this country [has] amazing potential, they have amazing people and the league will be great in my opinion."

Saudi Arabia could soon boast the two biggest names in world football with Lionel Messi being strongly linked with a move to the country.
