Viral Clip Of Cristiano Ronaldo Vs. Atletico Madrid Described As 'The Most Saddest And Funniest Video'

A viral clip of Cristiano Ronaldo vs. Atletico Madrid has been described as the 'most saddest and funniest video at the same time'.

Ronaldo failed to deliver for Manchester United in their Champions League last-16 first leg clash on Wednesday.

But his side managed to leave Madrid without defeat, as Anthony Elanga came off the bench to snatch a late equaliser.

The Portuguese, who has been prolific in Europe this season, was unable to get going - with a clip highlighting his struggles at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium.

A passage of play shows Victor Lindelof, Luke Shaw and Marcus Rashford all delivering balls into the box, but failing to pick out Ronaldo.

The ball goes back-and-forth without finding the Man United forward, who shows his frustration by gesturing to his teammate.

The viral footage has been shared online, with the caption: "This has to be the most saddest and funniest video at the same time."

Ronaldo has six goals in the Champions League this campaign and he'll be hoping to increase his goal tally when Man United host Atleti on March 15.

The second leg is evenly poised at 1-1, with Ralf Rangnick pleased with his players following their second half fight back.

"I don’t know if I rescued it, but after the performance in the first half, it could only get better because of how we played in the first half," he told the club's website

"I still cannot believe what we did [in the first half]. We played without conviction, without the necessary aggression against the ball and that’s why we were really struggling in the first half.

"In the second half we were much better, we had possession in areas that mattered, and I think with another ten minutes to play we might have even won the game.

"Again, we just have to play better than we did in the first half. I was very disappointed in our performance in the first half."
