The draw for the Champions League quarter finals and semi finals have been made, with some tasty ties to look forward to.

Holders Chelsea were drawn out first and paired against 13-time champions Real Madrid in a repeat of last season's semi final.

After knocking out Manchester United courtesy of a 2-1 aggregate win in the round of 16, Diego Simeone's Atletico Madrid will look to go one better and usurp rivals Manchester City in the quarter finals.

The draw for the last eight was rounded off with Villarreal vs Bayern Munich and Benfica vs Liverpool, with first legs commencing on 5 and 6 April.

Second legs will take place on 12 and 13 April, while the semi finals have also been decided so that clubs can see their potential route to the final mapped out.

Those who reach the final four will be in action on 26 or 27 April and 3 and 4 May.

That draw has already been made so that teams can map out their potential route to the final.

There's the prospect of last season's final being repeated a round prior this time around as City and Chelsea could meet, but don't rule out a Madrid derby in the semi final.
