Outrageous Prediction Claims Aston Villa Will Finish In The Top Four And Chelsea Won't Be In The Top Six

This is bold.

An Aston Villa fan claims his side could finish in the Premier League top four ahead of Chelsea this season.

Steven Gerrard has added Boubacar Kamara and Diego Carlos to his squad this summer after making Philippe Coutinho's loan move permanent earlier this year.

Villa finished 14th last time out, but diehard supporter Alan is expecting big things from Gerrard in his first full campaign as manager.

In fact, he has tipped them to come in the Champions League places ahead of top six stalwarts Chelsea while also claiming Liverpool and Manchester City will not be title winners.

"Here we go then," he started. "I don't think Liverpool or City will win the league this year. They will be in the top six."

Alongside those two and Villa, Alan was asked to name the other three teams who will make up the top six.

He continued: "Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal and Manchester United. We'll finish above Chelsea. They're going to have a dreadful season... We'll finish above Chelsea."

So far, the Blues have signed Raheem Sterling and Kalidou Koulibaly but Thomas Tuchel knows his squad needs a lot of work.

Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger departed as free agents and the hunt for that second defender continues.

Longtime target Jules Kounde has opted to join Barcelona, while Nathan Ake and Presnel Kimpembe are expected to remain with Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain respectively.

A number of players are said to be unhappy with their standing in the squad but transfers away are unlikely.

Chelsea's pre-season preparations are going poorly and they suffered a 4-0 defeat to Arsenal in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Tuchel admitted his team might not be ready for their opener against Everton at Goodison Park on August 6.

The 48-year-old said: "I cannot guarantee it. I saw today a team in Arsenal who are mentally committed to an idea of playing, a level of exhaustion, a level of physical commitment that we could not match."
