360 Sports TV’s hotly anticipated reboot of the fan-favourite Masters Football could see female footballers participating at the major 2023 tournament, according to stunning reports.

Sky Sports were at the helm of the beloved six-a-side indoor extravaganza from 2000 to 2011, which was must-watch TV for any football fan back in the day.

And Sky’s version of Masters Football featured a star-studded line-up, including the likes of Manchester United legend Roy Keane, Matt Le Tissier and Ally McCoist.

360 Sports TV, a subscription-based streaming service dedicated to sports documentaries, has confirmed plans to reboot Masters Football.

According to GiveMeSport, the 2023 Masters Football competition could ‘well feature women’s football legends.’

360 Sports TV are in talks with Masters Football about the ‘possibility of integrating female stars’ for next year’s tournament.

GiveMeSport reports that no female footballing legends have been named for Masters Football at the moment, but pointed to likes of Alex Scott, Kelly Smith and Rachel Yankey who could ‘fit the bill.’

360 Sports TV founder and producer John Warrington has insisted that Masters Football is “undoubtedly” a perfect match for the streaming service.

“Having been involved with the production of the first series of Masters Football and presented the highlights version on Channel 4, this has definitely been a 360-degree journey for me and it holds very special memories,” he said.

“More recently, I produced the Masters Football Remastered series for Amazon Prime and the incredible viewing figures left me in no doubt that there remains a huge appetite for Masters and we just had to bring it back.

“360 Sports TV is a sports documentary streaming platform but if there is one live event which would be a match for us and our audiences, then it is undoubtedly Masters Football.”
