The latest series of the extremely popular Netflix series 'Drive to Survive' has hit Netflix and one scene between Toto Wolff and Lewis Hamilton has caught the eyes of viewers.

Formula 1 has always been one of the top sports in the world, but the 'fly on the wall' style Netflix series has catapulted the popularity of the sport across the world, particularly in America.

The now yearly series follows the previous year's season, covering the key both on and off-track dramas within the sport.

Despite a jam packed 22-race calendar in 2023 which saw Max Verstappen win his third world title, the biggest news in the world of F1 in the last year came in February as Lewis Hamilton announced he was joining Ferrari from Mercedes.

The move sent shockwaves through the world of sport and even made its way to the Premier League as Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou joked about the move in a press conference.

With one episode of the Netflix series going behind the scenes at Mercedes, viewers think the cameras have captured the very moment Hamilton made his decision during a meeting with Mercedes boss Toto Wolff.

"The time has come to cut our losses, and say that the concept of this car is never going to work," Wolff said, speaking on the underperformance of the Mercedes car.

"For me personally, when you see the progress Aston Martin made over the winter, shows that if we get it right with the concept of the car, with the aero we can win a championship.

"But I don't want to wait for until 2026, when we get the new engine regulations," Wolff explained.

"Frick, me neither, you can be here 20 more years, 30 more years... I can't," Hamilton responded.

"These are precious years for me," The 7-time World Champion continued.

After a long pause between the pair, the silence was broken by Hamilton who simply said: 'I don't know."

The scene has gone viral on social media, with fans convinced this was the turning point for Hamilton.

One fan posted: "THE SILENCE IS SO LOUD."

A second speculated: "Lewis was already thinking about leaving that early"

A third account added "And that my friends, is where the Ferrari decision was made!"
