'Influencers' Tommy Fury and Molly-Mae Hague accused of 'setting up' video of his return home

Tommy Fury and his girlfriend Molly-Mae Hague have been accused of 'setting up' a video of him returning home from Saudi Arabia.

The Brit has arrived back in the UK following his victory over YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul in their long-awaited grudge match.

Having just given birth to their baby daughter, Fury's partner Molly-Mae decided to stay home and not travel with Tommy to the Middle East.

So to welcome him back home, she set up loads of white balloons inside their house to celebrate his victory.

With her phone planted in the corner of the room, she filmed their encounter, meeting her boyfriend at the door before giving him a big hug.

"MY CHAMP," the caption on the Instagram story read.

In fairness, the video seemed fairly innocuous at the time – but some fans weren't having it.

In a viral tweet, one social media took aim at the 'influencer' couple, saying: "Is anything in these influencers life authentic? Everything has to be set up and picture perfect for Insta. As if he’s come back from a fight in Dubai and all he’s got is a backpack and the belt over his shoulder?"

The tweet instantly exploded on social media, reaching 4.8 million people and racking up around 50,000 likes in less than six hours.

And in the comments section, it's clear fellow users shared the same thoughts.

One person replied: "That’s because she’s sent him out 8 times to redo the entrance."

While another added: "Pisses me right off how everything has to be posted on the internet these days."

And a third joked: "Probably take 42. Bored of dragging his case in every time."

As a fourth chimed in, saying: "'Let me set me tripod up before ye come in'."

During the heated build-up to their fight, Paul had relentless trash-talked Fury and his family.

So when the microphone was passed to the 23-year-old during his in-ring interview, he struggled to hide his emotions as he broke down in tears.

“Everybody thought I was running scared,” Fury said,

“Tonight, I made my own legacy. I am Tommy Fury! I want to dedicate this fight to my new baby girl Bambi at home and my Mrs. I love you.”
