Former UFC bantamweight champion T.J Dillashaw has become the first UFC star to call out Floyd Mayweather following his announcement he's coming out of retirement.

Mayweather retired two years ago after beating Conor McGregor in the Irishman's only professional boxing fight, taking his record to 50-0, but last week confirmed his comeback on Instagram.

The former five weight world champion also hinted at working with UFC president Dana White during his comeback and there's been reports that 'Money' Mayweather will fight a UFC star for one of his fights.

Now Dillashaw has become the first person to call out Mayweather, speaking on the Ariel Helwani show.

Dillashaw though will have to wait more than a year before he can get in the ring with one of the greatest boxers of the generation.

The former UFC bantamweight champion was suspended for two years in March for failing a drugs test following his loss to Henry Cejudo in January this year. The test proved the fighter to have taken EPO.

Rival Cody Garbrandt has previously accused the 33-year-old of taking drugs, who he lost the bantamweight title to before Dillashaw's ban, but Lieutenant Dan denied, on Helwani's show, having doped before he was caught, saying, "Absolutely, man. I've been under a microscope.

"I got alerted from USADA when they first started the tests. Since the [Dominick] Cruz fight, I got email after email saying 'you have been tested.' They went back and retested all my old samples, obviously which is completely understandable to make sure there was nothing that slid by.

"Everything's out in the open. I'm under a microscope, I'll continue to be. I'll continue to get drug tested left and right which is completely understandable. But yeah, I have nothing to hide."

McGregor remains an obvious future opponent, if Mayweather is to fight someone from the MMA promotion, whilst the Irishman's rival Khabib Nurmagomedov is another option.

The boxer is said to want someone with a genuinely strong stand up striking game so Jorge Masvidal could be a potential opponent, weight dependant, after previously calling out Saul Canelo Alvarez.
