Deontay Wilder tried to unsettle Tyson Fury by screaming "BOMB SQUAD!" at this week's press conference in Los Angeles.

But things didn't go to plan for 'The Bronze Bomber' when he inadvertently rattled legendary ring announcer Jimmy Lennon Jr as Fury laughed and joked about the incident.

The WBC heavyweight champion, who will defend his crown against the lineal champion on February 22nd, has attempted a series of mind games ahead of next month's highly anticipated contest.

And in the opening segment of Monday's presser, Wilder started early by sneaking up on Fury while he had his back turned.

It was a cheeky move from 'The Bronze Bomber' but despite his best efforts, the 32-year-old made ring announcer Lennon Jr. jump out of his skin.

"Scared me to death" said a previously unaware Lennon, just moments after Wilder shouted "BOMB SQUAD!" towards his opponent's corner.

The clip soon went viral and plenty enjoyed the 61-year-old's hilarious reaction.

Speaking at the press conference, the undefeated American was far from complimentary about his opponent.

"He goes around talking he has the lineal title, something that is make believe and fake." he said. "He has no belt except the one that holds his pants up now. That's the only thing he has.

"Come February 22, that lineal b***t, it ends. It ends with him.

"All that talk before, it dies, it's dead. This is a new beginning this is unfinished business that I will finish. I will do exactly what I said I would do, I will knock him out.

"I'm the lion, the king of the jungle and come February 22, I'm going to rip his head off his body.

"I'm going to knock you through those ropes so you can really feel a WWE moment in real life."

Who do you think will win next month? Wilder or Fury?
