Tyson Fury will once again have to travel to Germany to conquer Wladimir Klitschko, after the date and venue for the pair's World Heavyweight Title rematch was announced.
Fury had been hoping his title defence against the Ukrainian would be on home soil, either at Old Trafford in his hometown of Manchester, or at Wembley Stadium. However, the pair will do battle for Fury's WBA and WBO Heavyweight Championships at Bayern Munich's Allianz Arena on May 7th.
The rematch was written into Klitschko's contract as a mandatory defence for whoever dethroned the former Champion, who ruled the heavyweight division for over a decade. Fury willingly relinquished his IBF Heavyweight title, one of the straps he won from Klitschko in Dusseldorf in December, after failing to accept a defence from another mandatory challenger, Vyacheslav Glazkov.
