The super-fight between Manny Pacquiao and Amir Khan is OFF!

Promoter Bob Arum has nixed the fight claiming the proposed bout on April 22nd is no longer on the table but hasn't ruled out a meeting in the second half of the year.

Speaking to the LA Times, the legendary Top Rank boss said; "When they contacted me, I told them it was pie in the sky, that this is crazy-it's not going to happen."

"I'm talking to him about another proposal for another fight, not Khan. Khan won't be Manny's next opponent."

Arum expects his star fighter to compete again in June or July depending on the schedule of the senate in the Philippines.

Following his defeat to Floyd Mayweather, Pacquiao has reeled off back-to-back wins over Tim Bradley and Jesse Vargas while claiming his old belt - WBO world title, against the latter.

Whereas Khan hasn't fought since being flattened by Mexican sensation 'Canelo' but did land the money fight he had been seeking for so long.

Though prior to that fight, the Bolton-native racked up five consecutive wins including scalps over ex-world champions; Devon Alexander and Chris Algieri.

Both fighters were under the tutelage of Hall of Famer trainer Freddie Roach until Khan split with him citing a lack attention.

Roach frequently traveled to the Philippines to attend to his main pupils needs as a result of his political endeavours.

Who is next for either men? Time will tell. Who do you want to see Khan and Pacquiao face?
