Amir Khan will fight WBO welterweight world champion Terence Crawford on April 20th with a venue to be confirmed.

Amir Khan signed with Eddie Hearn following his appearance on 'I'm a Celebrity...' and he's delivered him a world title shot in just his third fight following his defeat to 'Canelo' Alvarez in 2016.

The 32-year-old Bolton-native will look to become the welterweight king after holding titles at light-welterweight.

But it's a tough, tough ask. Terence Crawford is arguably the best pound-for-pound fighter on the planet, he's unbeaten in 34 professional fights and is set to make the second defence of his belt.

He picked up the title against Jeff Horn and successfully defended his WBO strap versus Jose Benavidez Jr in his last outing.

The Nebraska-fighter is now campaigning at 147 lbs after becoming undisputed light-welterweight champion, collecting the WBO, WBC, WBA, IBF and The Ring Magazine titles.

The fight will take place either at Madison Square Garden in New York or the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Top Rank boss Bob Arum expects to make the decision this week.
