Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao set for rematch as part of tag match

Mayweather and Pacquiao might be two of the greatest ever but they'll never have seen anything like this before.

Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao are once again set to face each other inside a boxing ring, but this time with teammates as part of a tag team fight.

When Mayweather and Pacquiao met in 2015 it was about 10 years too late but both men were still considered amongst the best boxers in the world.

It was the undefeated Mayweather who came out on top, in what was a fight that failed to live up to the billing when it came to pure excitement and entertainment.

Over the years there was lots of talk of a potential rematch, even once 'Money' had retired following his win over Conor McGregor, but it never materialised.

Nowadays, the 50-0 former professional boxer has moved into the world of exhibition fights, beating the likes of Deji and Logan Paul, not exactly the highest grade of opponent.

Last month he defeated Geordie Shore star Aaron Chalmers, in a fight that didn't exactly bring in customers to the 02 Arena, as tickets were all but given away.

Despite that lack of interest, the American could be back in London soon enough, to face Pacquiao in a 'tag team' boxing fight, that would see Mayweather team with KSI.

The YouTuber moved into boxing to take on the older Paul brother, who is now his partner in business with Prime energy drinks, and now puts on his own shows.

'Misfits Boxing,' has become very popular as fellow YouTubers and social media stars compete against each other, even for their own belts.

Unlike fights between Jake Paul and Tommy Fury, it doesn't pretend to be anything other than what it is, and certainly has a popular following.

The first 'tag fight' took place earlier this month, as Luis Alcarez Pineda and BDave took on Ice Poseidon and Anthony Vargas.

It certainly would be an unconventional setting to see two of the greatest boxers of all time go against each other for the second time in their careers.

However, with both men in their 40s and retired, it's the only way we'd likely get to see them show off their skills once again, so why not.

The negotiations are certainly likely to be easier than to get Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk on to decide the unified world heavyweight champion.
