Mike Tyson has urged Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury to get their title unification match booked as quickly as possible.

Fury and Joshua hold all four of heavyweight boxing's major belts after championship victories in the last three months.

Both have fights with Deontay Wilder and Kubrat Pulev lined up for the summer respectively, but 'Iron Mike' has explained he'd love to see the two square off sooner rather than later.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with TheSportsman, the former heavyweight champion was asked about a 'Battle of the Brits' and replied:

"I don't know [who would win], but I'd like to see that happen though. That'd be a great money fight too!

"They're in the best shape possible to be in and getting the most out of this sport as they can."

Fury has his trilogy bout with longtime Wilder coming up in July and the 'Bronze Bomber' will be looking to avenge his first ever professional loss.

Tyson was asked if the Alabama native is making the right decision diving straight back in and he replied: "He has to go right back in, right away.

"Get yourself healthy, your head right, and get back in the ring."

Tyson also dropped some pearls of wisdom when it came to the sport as a whole.

He explained that despite the glitz and glamour surrounding many at the top level nowadays, he still thinks skill is what makes you a legend.

"Boxing is such an enigma as a sport," he explained. "This is what really matters: in two hundred years from now, there will probably only be five fighters that people will remember. That's what it's all about.

"It's not about having money or becoming rich. That they won't stop mentioning your name until the planet's disintegrated: that's what this is really about.

"People are stating their names in the art of pugilist, fisticuff, combat, fighting. I like the word 'fighting'."

Tyson is one of the world's most iconic athletes and is in the conversation for the greatest of all time so his words carry significant weight.

Who do you think would win if Fury and Joshua faced off in a title unification bout?
