The NRL looks set to investigate Dally M Captain of the Year James Tedesco after he allegedly yelled "Squid Game" at a woman while on a night out with mates.
Tiffany Trinh, who is of Vietnamese background, told the Sydney Morning Herald that the Sydney Roosters captain made a "joke about her race" by shouting "Squid Game" in her direction outside a pub last week.
According to Trinh, she was waiting outside the Beach Road Hotel in Bondi when Tedesco made the comments as he walked past.

She then alleges that the State of Origin fullback laughed with his group of friends.
It's understood the NRL will launch an official investigation into the matter, but Tedesco's employers have already leapt to his defence.
The Sydney Roosters have reportedly undertaken their own internal investigation into the events that unfolded.

Having held discussions with their captain, the club and Tedesco claim that he was merely discussing the popular Korean Netflix show with his friends as they walked past Trinh.
"After we found out about the Instagram post we thoroughly investigated the matter," Roosters chief executive Joe Kelly said.
"There was absolutely no interaction between James Tedesco with this group of people. We categorically deny that anything untoward occurred."
