Alexander Sedykh underwent a six-hour operation after he fractured both his knees in a failed attempt to squat 400kg.
The Russian man mountain was competing at the World Raw Powerlifting Federation European Championships in Moscow this week when everything went horribly wrong.

Yes, literally everything.
With 400kg of steel plates balanced on his broad, muscular shoulders, Sedykh thrusted downwards in an attempt to squat the inane amount of weight.
But just as he was about to extend his legs and lower back out, the entire 400kg weight transferred to his knees which caused them to buckle.

Screaming out in pain, Sedykh collapsed to the ground as his legs awkwardly crumbled under his stocky body.
You can even hear the faint sound of the knee buckling.
While the original video is rather appropriately cut short, you can see his spotters and medical staff quickly rush to assist the fallen Russian giant.
Even during the early stages of the lift, Sedykh was seen rocking back and forth uncomfortably in a bid to steady himself under the immense pressure.

Speaking after his intense six-hour operation, Sedykh said: "The forecasts are as follows: Lie down for two months, do not move your legs. Then learn to walk again.
"The quads were double stitched, the knees were reassembled."
