Lacrosse Goalkeepers Throw Wild Punches In Mid-Game Fight, The Commentary Is Brilliant

A professional lacrosse game descended into complete and utter chaos when two goalkeepers decided to throw hands in the middle of the arena.

Tensions well and truly boiled over during the match between the Albany FireWolves and the Rochester Knighthawks.

With the Knighthawks leading, players from the opposition side started to get a bit chippy and a couple of heated exchanges started to occur.

But tempers properly flared in the third quarter when a minor push-and-shove between the outfield players resulted in the goalies from both teams meeting in the centre of the field to have a scrap.

With the cameras focused on the small fracas, they quickly panned out to show rival goalkeepers Rylan Hartley and Ethan Woods drop their gloves, shake off their protective gear and have a fight.

Both blokes were throwing everything into their blows with a couple of haymakers landing flush on the chin.

Unsurprisingly, it wasn't long before footage of the wild incident surfaced on social media where it instantly went viral.

But while the biff itself was box office entertainment, that was nothing compared to the hilarious commentary on show.

"Oh my goodness. Look at this," commentator Brendan Glasheen said.

"Woodsy, the reserve goalie coming out. That is not Doug Jamieson out there, he's watching.

"Oh my, Ethan Woods giving Hartley a piece of his mind."

The co-commentator was equally as buzzing.

"Wow! Here were go," he added.

"They're going to charge extra for this! This has got to be a first.

"You don't need to go to the UFC, you got it right [here]. Look at this!"
