The age-old rivalry between the Los Angeles Lakers and Boston Celtics in the NBA is one of the most famous in all of sports.

But that deep-seated hatred clearly doesn't transfer over into baseball and one person who doesn't seem too phased by it is LeBron James.

The LA Lakers megastar has joined forces with the Fenway Sports Group to become a part-owner of the Boston Red Sox alongside his business partner Maverick Carter.

LeBron's successes on the court are unquestionable, but the 36-year-old is proving himself to be a savvy entrepreneur too.

So for anyone who knows about his other business ventures, this latest news of his Red Sox takeover probably won't come as much of a surprise.

The four-time NBA champion has worked closely with the Fenway Sports Group before and already has a 2 per cent stake in Premier League giants Liverpool since 2011.

According to reports from the Boston Globe and CBS Sports, LeBron's stake in the Reds will subsequently increase as a result of this new Red Sox deal too.

But despite pledging his allegiance to Boston, it's understood LeBron is a massive New York Yankees fan - and has been for some time.

He has been to plenty of games at Yankee Stadium throughout the years but it seems he'll be spending a lot more time at Fenway Park from now on.

LeBron is an absolute stud on the basketball court, owns his own entertainment company, has shares in multiple sports franchises, has opened his own school and uses his platform to combat racial injustices in the United States.

What can't this bloke do?
