Greg Norman has blasted America, in particular president Joe Biden after it was reported that the United States are refusing to send unused vaccines over to Australia following the recent outbreak of COVID-19 in the country.
It's understood Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison has personally reached out to the US government in a bid to get access to their reported 26 million untouched doses that are reportedly about to expire.
But despite the desperate plea for a helping hand during these tough times, it seems the negotiations between Biden and the Morrison Government have hit a wall.
The news that these unused vaccines wouldn't be getting shipped Down Under from our old friends across the pond angered some people - golfing great Norman being one of them.
After hearing of the breakdown in communications between the two allies, the Aussie-born Florida resident hit out at the Biden administration.
"Living in the States for 40+ yrs I am so dismayed with this article and the fact that little brother has to beg to big brother for unused vaccines about to expire after all we have done in support for eons," Norman said in a recent Instagram post.
"We have stood shoulder to shoulder in every war America has fought (except domestic) and this is a war. We are meant to be allies. Come on @joebiden @potus @whitehouse help little brother.
New South Wales has been impacted heavily by the recent spike in coronavirus numbers.
With COVID cases not dropping, the state remains in lockdown with other premiers appearing to follow suit.
Melbourne has entered its sixth snap lockdown of the pandemic, while certain areas in Queensland are being heavily monitored amid growing clusters.
That said, the number of vaccinations are increasing with Aussies coming forward to get their AstraZeneca and Pfizer jabs.
The Morrison government has also confirmed that 25 million doses of the Moderna vaccine are being sent to Australia too.
