Despite contracting COVID-19 earlier this month, Cristiano Ronaldo isn't totally convinced by the virus - especially the testing methods involved in tracing it down.

The Juventus megastar has now labelled PCR coronavirus tests as 'bulls***' after returning a positive result for the third time.

Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) is a form of nucleic acid tests that can give back coronavirus results as quickly as seven hours.

But for 35-year-old Ronaldo, it appears the efficiency of the swab tests is beginning to grind his gears.

He posted a picture, saying: "Feeling good and healthy! Forza Juve!"

Before commenting: "PCR IS BULLS***".

Ronaldo later deleted his second response.

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner's growing frustrations are becoming clear for all to see.

After being forced to watch Juve's blockbuster Champions League clash with Barcelona from the comfort of his quarantined home, Ronaldo is clearly itching to get back on the field.

And by the looks of it, Juventus need him back more than ever.

Ronaldo originally contracted the virus while on international duty with Portugal.

The Italian giants were beaten 2-0 by Barca in their Group G clash, with Merih Demiral given his marching orders just before full-time.

Goals from Ousmane Dembele and Lionel Messi have put Barcelona at the top of the group with Ronaldo's Juve coming in second.

There's still plenty of game's to play in both the Champions League and Serie A, but the passionate fans and trophy-hungry club will be praying that goal-machine Ronaldo is back in action sooner rather than later.
