A sprinter faster than Usain Bolt and Noah Lyles has been stripped of his world record following a doping violation.
Bolt enjoyed a legendary sprint career, winning several gold medals across major tournaments, including the Olympics and the World Athletics Championships.
He still holds the world record for the 100m and the 200m from his glittering career.
Bolt clocked 9.58 seconds in the 100m at the 2009 World Athletics Championships and recorded a time of 19.19 in the 200m at the same competition.

Lyles has also medalled in the 100m and the 200m and has been backed to break the Jamaican's world records but has not done so yet.
But one world record Bolt doesn't hold is the U20 100m, with Issam Asinga posting a time of 9.89 seconds back in 2023.

But Asinga has been embroiled in a doping scandal after he underwent an out-of-competition doping test that revealed the presence of metabolites of GW1516, which is known to alter how the body uses fat for energy, promoting increased endurance and fat metabolism.

Ten days later, he broke the U20 100m world record at the South American Athletics Championships, setting a time of 9.89 seconds.
However, less than two weeks after his world record-setting time, the Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU) provisionally suspended him.
Asinga denied any wrongdoing, with his team telling the AIU that the positive test was caused by Gatorade nutrition products he received after being named Gatorade National Boys Track and Field Player of the Year earlier that month.
He claimed he had ingested Gatorade gummies to aid recovery one week before providing the same.
The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) launched an investigation into the gummies but found insufficient evidence to support Asinga's alibi.

"After considering the evidence, the CAS Panel found that the athlete had failed to establish that, on the balance of probabilities, it was more likely than not that the gummies he ingested before his anti-doping test were contaminated with GW1516," the ruling read.
In a statement, the AIU added: "The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has dismissed the appeal of Issamade Asinga against a 4-year ban for Presence of a Prohibited Substance (GW1516 sulfone, GW1516 sulfoxide), imposed by the World Athletics Disciplinary Tribunal on 6 May 2024."
Asinga will continue serving his four-year ban, which is set to end in August 2027.
His U20 100m world record has subsequently been annulled, with Letsile Tebogo's time of 9.91 seconds now standing as the quickest.
