Chelsea have completed their first signing of the Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital era after Ève Perisset joined from Bordeaux penning a three-year deal.
The 27-year-old will make the switch from France on 1 July and will wear the number 15 shirt at Kingsmeadow.
She becomes Boehly and co’s first arrival since their £4.25bn takeover was completed at the end of May, which reflects their promise of investing in all areas of the club, including the Women’s team.
“Our vision as owners is clear: we want to make the fans proud. Along with our commitment to developing the youth squad and acquiring the best talent, our plan of action is to invest in the Club for the long-term and build on Chelsea’s remarkable history of success,” Boehly said after the takeover was confirmed.
Perisset was delighted to sign for Emma Hayes’ side after becoming the first French female to sign for the Blues.

“It’s a fantastic honour to join Chelsea and to be the first French female player to become a Blue! I am very thankful for the opportunity that has been given to me.
“The time was right for me to make this big move to London and join the English Super League and I cannot wait to meet the team and the fans later this summer at Kingsmeadow and at the famous Stamford Bridge!”
Hayes was also pleased with the acquisition of the France international who plays in defence,
“Eve brings a wealth of experience and is a versatile player who is able to play in both full-back positions and midfield.
“A tenacious defender, with her mentality and professionalism we have no doubt she will complement the group well.
“We really look forward to welcoming Eve to the team later this summer as we head into the new season.”
Now that the Women’s side have made their first signing, Thomas Tuchel will be keen to make some additions to his Men’s side this summer. He has been promised control over their targets, as well as who he wants to offload.
The summer transfer window opens on Friday 10th June which leaves them with just under a month before the players report back to Cobham for pre-season on 2 July, and just shy of two months before the 2022/23 Premier League season gets underway.
Hayes and Tuchel will be backed in the hope of continuing the success they endured under Roman Abramovich's 19-year ownership of the club.
