ODDSbibleRacing's Best Bets From Thursday's Action At Clonmel, Redcar And More

Thursday.

Yesterday was one of the worst days tipping and betting I've ever had. However, that is racing and we have to move on and try and find some winners on Thursday as the action continues to be relentless.

Racing takes place over timber at Towcester (afternoon) and Sedgefield (evening). On the flat, Redcar stages an afternoon meeting, whilst Musselburgh hosts an evening flat card. On the All-Weather, Lingfield's seven race-card takes centre-stage, whilst Clonmel hosts a flat card in Ireland.

Here are Danny Archer's selections...

8:20: Clonmel - Lachares evens.

Ellmarie Holden has made a superb start to her career as a jump trainer and this son of Manduro finished a smart third at Cork in a handicap hurdle in April. The four-year-old gelding was originally trained on the flat in France by Alain De Royer-Dupre and that augurs well for this event over two miles.

Holden has had three winners from her last three runners and it looks good to support a team who have their horses in good form.

2:40: Lingfield - Varsovian 5/1 Each Way (1/4).

Has to have claims dropped into claiming company after running with credit when finishing fourth on three consecutive occasions recently. He could rate a little bit better than that and he has had a handy claimer on board after a slight break. He should go well.

3:10: Lingfield - Author's Dream 6/4 NAP.

William Knight's charge was well punted when finishing second at Wolverhampton on March. This trip suited last time and with both his trainer and jockey in top form, he should go well.

4:10: Lingfield - Endless Charm 4/1.

Has to go up against some decent looking colts here but this daughter of Dubawi was quite impressive at Kempton in November where she led for virtually the whole race. The runner-up that day has since won three handicaps on the spin and getting weight from some of her rivals, she is very interesting.

4:40: Lingfield - Welsh Rose 9/4.

Money's been strong for him this morning and if he learns to settle better he would have a good chance of going close here.

2:00: Redcar - Our Little Pony 7/4.

Richard Fahey's two-year-olds are in fine fettle and this daughter of Bated Breath is bred for speed. The Manton handler won this event in 2014 and 2016, evidently suggesting it is a race he targets and that makes this filly of strong interest.

4:00: Redcar - Medalla De Oro 11/2 Each Way (1/5).

Peter Chapple-Hyam's well-bred son of Teofilo has not shown much in maidens but the market support has been strong for him this morning and in the hands of a fine trainer who does very well with his small string, he looks sure to go close on his seasonal reappearance.

4:30: Redcar - Tai Sing Yeh 5/1 Each Way (1/4).

Charlie Hill has sent this well-bred son of Exceed And Excel a long way for this seven furlong event and he stated on well to land a seven furlong maiden at Lingfield in October. Obviously, he needs to progress again to win but he rates as a likely improver.

5:00: Redcar - American Craftsman 13/2 Each Way (1/4).

Roger Fell's gelded son of Mastercraftsman ran a fine race when third in a maiden on his stable debut last month. His opening mark looks fair and he rates as a strong Each Way fancy.

4:20: Towcester - Horace Hazel 5/2.

Won well over three miles at Worcester in June 2016. Has to overcome an absence after a disappointing effort but this son of Sir Harry Lewis is of strong interest because he is a fresh horse.
