ODDSbibleRacing's Best Bets From Thursday's Action At Cheltenham, Tipperary and More

Life's a Beach for Venice at Tipperary.

Another decent day for us yesterday with plenty of winners and that is all you can really ask for.

Racing takes place at Cheltenham over jumps in the afternoon before Taunton holds an evening jump meeting. On the flat, selections for Newmarket can be found here. Ripon also hosts a flat meeting in the afternoon before an All Weather meeting takes place at Lingfield in the evening. Tipperary hosts a hybrid flat and jump meeting in Ireland.

Here are Danny Archer's selections...

Legend to party from dawn till Dusk at Cheltenham

2:05: Cheltenham - Dusky Legend 5/2.

Alan King's charge was third in the G2 Trull House Stud Mares' Novices' Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival and might just be able to confirm the form with Verdana Blue here. The step to two miles and four furlongs is in the daughter of Midnight Legend's favour and I fancy her strongly to land the spoils.

2:40: Cheltenham - Antartica De Thaix 11/8.

She has been a little star for us winning her last three starts and I think the daughter of Dom Alco is able to register her four consecutive victory. Returns to handicap company but she can continue Paul Nicholls' phenomenal season.

3:15: Cheltenham - Snow Leopardess 7/2.

No reason why Charlie Longsdon's mare cannot win again after an impressive victory at Newbury last time.

3:50: Cheltenham - Virak 13/2 Each Way (1/5).

Paul Nicholls' charge is unreliable but has been second off 159 and now is off 144. Better ground should really help him and I'm keen on his chances in this competitive event.

4;20: Cheltenham - Solomn Grundy 5/1 Each Way (1/4).

Shaped better than the bare result suggests at Kempton last time and might just be capable of further improvement off this mark.

Theresa might not like them but come on the Lord at Lingfield

4:40: Lingfield - Lord Murphy 15/8.

Nose second at Wolverhampton last time. Has to prove as effective on the polytrack but Kirby is aboard again and he looks the one to side with.

5:15: Lingfield - Muthmira 4/1.

Simon Crisford has his horses in fine fettle and this daughter of Arcano led well from the front at Yarmouth in September when last seen. Should improve for the step up to seven furlongs.

6:20: Lingfield - Karisma 5/4.

Represents one of the best trainers around and won over course and distance in December. Capable of better returning from a break.

7:20: Lingfield - Rosealee 7/2.

Jeremy Gask's charge reverts to Class 5 company here and has been running with credit in defeat in a higher grade recently.

7:50: Lingfield - Agathonia 2/1.

Charlie Appleby's charge might improve for the step up in trip and the addition of cheekpieces here.

Prince to be Ripon King

2:15: Ripon - Maggies Angel 2/1.

Richard Fahey's horses are in good form and this daughter of Dark Angel should be straight enough for her debut.

3:25: Ripon - Straightothepoint 13/2 Each Way (1/4).

Bryan Smart's charge won on his first start last season which actually came at this track. He should be fit enough to do himself justice and ran well to finish second at Nottingham on his final start last season.

4:00: Ripon - UAE Prince 6/5 NAP.

Andrea Atzeni makes the journey to Ripon and I can see as this beautifully bred son of Sea The Stars should prove far too good here. Related to St Leger second Midas Touch, this expensive purchase was impressive at Leicester in September but was very disappointing at Doncaster in October. He has run just three times in his life and I think there is plenty more to come from him.

4:30: Ripon - Kitten's Johnstown 5/6.

Horse he beat on debut at Ayr won well next time and this son of the classy Kitten's Joy could prove a bit too good.

5:05: Ripon - Logi 9/2 Each Way (1/4, 4 places).

David Barron's charge won well on his stable debut and could improve for handicap company off opening mark.

5:35: Ripon - Fujaira Bridge 13/8.

I think Roger Varian's colt could prove hard to beat. The son of Sea The Stars was third at Leicester last time but connections are keen to gain a victory in maiden company rather than reverting to handicap company suggesting he has a massive chance here.

Ridgeway to get off to a Flyer at Taunton

6:00: Taunton - Ridgeway Flyer 1/2.

Won well at Ludlow in February and looks capable of going well.

6:30: Taunton - Icanmotor 11/10.

Fergal O'Brien's charge has not won in his career yet but looked unlucky not to win on first start for this yard last time.

Life's a Beach for Venice at Tipperary

5:10: Tipperary - Dabulena 9/4.

Ran very well on debut and should improve massively for that.

5:40: Tipperary - Venice Beach 13/8.

Looked in need of return to action at Leopardstown last time and can improve on that.

6:10: Tipperary - Motherland 4/5.

Could prove a cut above rivals here on return to action.

7/1 Win Treble

2:40: Cheltenham - Antartica De Thaix

6:00: Taunton - Ridgeway Flyer

6:20: Lingfield - Karisma

65/1 Lucky 15

3:15: Cheltenham - Snow Leopardess

4:30: Ripon - Kitten's Johnstown

4:40: Lingfield - Lord Murphy

5:10: Tipperary - Dabulena
