Michael Jordan's legendary supercar has finally been found after it was lost for over a decade.

Winning six NBA titles, becoming a five-time MVP, six-time NBA finals MVP and creating one of the biggest shoe brands in history means that Jordan made a fair bit of money during his basketball career.

As a car enthusiast, the NBA legend has owned some of the most expensive cars in the market, with a Porsche 930 Turbo Cabriolet, a a 40th anniversary edition Chevrolet Corvette ZR1, a Mercedes W140 S600 Coupe, and a McLaren-Mercedes SLR 722 just a few.

When he was at the peak of his time with the Chicago Bulls in 1992, Jordan decided to treat himself to a brand new black Ferrari 512 TR, paying $212,000.

The iconic supercar had a license plate reading M AIR J before it went missing after it was sold to businessman Chris Gardner.

Although it later resurfaced when it was sold at an auction for $100,000, it was last registered in 2010 and hadn't been seen since.

However, a YouTube channel called We Are Curated were able to track down the Ferrari earlier this year, finding Jordan's missing car in California, with the current owner leaving it largely unused for the past decade after being diagnosed with a rare type of bone cancer.

Amazingly, the owner's home and the Ferrari were both spared from the devastating destruction caused by the recent fires that swept across California in January, leading to the YouTubers offering to purchase the legendary car.

The YouTube channel's team were able to convince the owner to sell it to them, and now the Testarossa will cross the Atlantic for a complete restoration project in Italy after 15 years of inactivity.

It is expected that the total cost of repairing MJ's car will be no less than $250,000, but the new owners are more than willing to pay up to bring it back to its former glory.

Once the restoration job is fully completes, the YouTube team hope to organise a meeting between all its former owners, including Jordan himself.
