Bronny James - the son of NBA legend LeBron - appeared to make his feelings clear when comparing his father's era of basketball to that of the great Michael Jordan.

Jordan had three spells in the NBA between 1984 and 2003, with the vast majority of his success taking place at the Chicago Bulls.

'MJ' was a six-time NBA Champion, and was named as an NBA All-Star in 14 of his 16 seasons in the league.

His career narrowly overlapped with that of LeBron James, who made his debut for the Cleveland Cavaliers in Jordan's final regular season of 2003.

James would go on to be named as an NBA All-Star in every season since 2005 - an all-time record for consecutive appearances in the All-Star Game - and is still active today for the Los Angeles Lakers at the age of 39.

His son, Bronny, is also a member of the active Lakers roster, and he played with his father for the first time ever in the NBA earlier in October.

The 20-year-old was selected as the 55th overall pick by the Lakers in the 2024 Draft, after a season playing college basketball for the USC Trojans.

Now, James has made his feelings clear on comparisons between his father and Jordan - by choosing which of the pair he would cut from his team.

In a video with the HouseofHighlights Instagram account, Bronny was asked to choose between LeBron, Jordan and Kobe Bryant in a game of 'Start, Bench, Cut'.

He decided: "I'm starting 'Bron. Imma bench Kobe. And then cut MJ."

After LeBron James played with his son in the NBA for the first time - on Bronny's 20th birthday, no less - he summed up his feelings in his post-match interview: "For someone who didn't have a dad growing up, to be able to have that influence on your kids... then ultimately, to be able to work with your son, I think it's one of the greatest things that a father could ever hope for or wish for."
