Any grassroots player will be used to platforms like Pitchero whenever they’ve played.
xG is a new web3 platform that rewards grassroots football players with NFTs for their in-real-life achievements. If a Sunday League player scores a goal, wins a game or keeps a clean sheet in a league or cup event - they’ll get a personalised xG NFT reward to add to their xG collection. Players will also be rewarded with xG Tokens for being named on the team sheet.

xG Studios, a web3 studio have recently announced they will be building their new platform on the Flow Blockchain - famous for being home of NFTs for the NBA, NFL, La Liga - and rumoured to be where Premier League NFTs are headed.
xG NFTs are a new type of NFT - because they will be personalised for each grassroots player - not just digital panini stickers that are the same for everyone.

Neil Cole, xG Founder, said: “You can think of xG as a collecting experience for athletes - like NBA TopShot - or digital Panini stickers - but for your own performance-related moments - with a collecting journey unfolding alongside your in-real-life football activity.”
This week xG also announced that Nedum Onuoha; ex-Manchester City and QPR defender, and now BBC pundit, has joined as an Advisor; and also that the team behind the Adidas x Bored Ape Yacht Club, “Into The Metaverse” collab, would be designing xG NFTs.

Nedum said, "The thing that interests me about xG is the use of innovation to incentivise and reward football at a grassroots level. I can see how the next generation of players would find xG an enhancement to their experience of the game.”
The platform is in development at the moment - with testing around the corner ahead of the 2022/23 season. They are looking for grassroots clubs and teams to get involved in the alpha testing - follow them on Twitter to find out more.
