Paul Ince disagrees with Ralf Rangnick's decision to give the Manchester United captaincy to Cristiano Ronaldo as he named his pick.
Ronaldo was given the Man United captaincy for their Premier League match against Wolves as a result of Harry Maguire's absence.
But ex-Man United midfielder Ince isn't convinced with the Portuguese superstar donning the captain's armband.
The former England skipper would have given it to Scott McTominay following his recent string of impressive performances for the club.
On the Man United captaincy debate, Ince said: "Looking at it really, if I was Ralf Rangnick, I’d give it to McTominay.
"Because I think a captain should be judged on his performances and what he’s done on the pitch.
"It would be a nice learning curve for him. Why give it Ronaldo? Everybody is moaning about him walking off the pitch and not clapping the fans.
“The way McTominay is playing, I think give it to him and let him have a go."
On giving the captain duties to Ronaldo, Rangnick explained: "He is the most experienced player.
"The choice was David de Gea or him, but I wanted to have a few players with the captaincy."
