Mohamed Salah’s agent has been blasted by Liverpool fans for what they believe is his reaction to Jurgen Klopp claiming the club “cannot do much more” over a new contract.
Salah’s current deal with Liverpool is set to expire in 2023 and the Reds are pushing for their star player to commit his long-term future to Anfield.

The 29-year-old Egyptian winger, who has attracted interest from Real Madrid, has been in scintillating form for Liverpool this season.
Salah has scored an impressive 19 times in 25 Premier League appearances as Liverpool keep pace with Manchester City in the title race.
It is believed that the Egypt captain is holding out for a whopping £300,000-a-week deal, which would see Liverpool shatter their current wage structure.

Speaking ahead of Liverpool’s trip to Brighton on Saturday, Klopp said: “Mo definitely expects this club to be ambitious. We were in the last few years and we are.

“We cannot do much more, that’s how it is. But I don’t think it’s about that. It’s Mo’s decision pretty much. The club did what the club can do. That’s how it is.”
Ramy Abbas Issa, who represents Salah, took to Twitter and posted several laughing emojis.

According to The Daily Mirror, Salah’s agent’s post came ‘around 80 minutes’ after Klopp’s pre-match press conference had come to an end.
Liverpool fans suspect that Issa’s tweet was aimed at Klopp’s remarks, with supporters saying they would rather have the Reds manager over Salah.

One fan responded to the tweet: “Yo, dude, we all would love to see Salah extend his contract with Liverpool, but if you’re laughing and mocking Klopp, then it’s time we cut ties, man. No-one’s bigger than Klopp at Liverpool. I [would] rather Jurgen extend his stay than anyone else.”
Someone else commented: “He’ll regret leaving more than us, mate.”

While a third added: “If [you’re] laughing at Klopp, you can pack Mo’s bag yourself. Rather Klopp signed an extension than Salah.”
Dont try to bring the funny side on the table. Liverpool has proved that we can produce the next superstars my friend. Salah will never be the same if he leaves LFC and you know it. You need us more than we need you. Accept the terms of LFC or leave.

I think the agent thought this tweet would go the other way.

Salah is the best player ITW right now and if we can’t afford those wages then I wish him luck at PSG. I’m sure we will use that money to sign talent like with Salah/Mane or invest big like with VVD/Alisson.
I'm not been funny but wtf is funny about this! You're supposed to be a professional business man who's looking after one of the best players in the world. Grow up & do your job. I know who wouldn't be my agent if i was Mo Salah!!!!

Philippe Coutinho forced a move to Barcelona, how did that work out for him? Sometimes a bit of class and some loyalty provide rewards that money can’t buy.

We won’t be held to ransom … salah has been/ is world class for us but we aren’t in a position to pay wages like utd real or psg. I can guarantee fsg have offered salah a fair improved contract . The grass isn’t greener. Ask gini

Another Twitter user simply wrote: “I hope he enjoys PSG.”
And a fifth tweeted: “You do one thing. Tell Salah to pack his bag in summer. We’re definitely not giving 400k-plus [salary] to any of our players. That’s not our style. Greedy players are not welcomed here, unfortunately.”
Liverpool, who are six points behind City with a match in hand, will clash with Brighton at 12:30pm UK time.
