Mason Mount has explained why Harry Kane would be perfect for Man Utd after spotting something in training

Mount has already told Man Utd what they want to hear.

Chelsea star Mason Mount has already explained how one particular Harry Kane skill would solve Manchester United's striker dilemma next season.

The England international is renowned for his goalscoring abilities, and could pass Alan Shearer's all-time Premier League record at Old Trafford if he does sign for the club this summer.

He is also his country's all-time record goalscorer, and is one of the most effective strikers that the country has ever produced.

Getting him out of Tottenham will certainly be a challenge, however. The Telegraph, via sources, claim that Spurs chairman Daniel Levy will demand a fee of least £100 million to sell his star player to another English club - despite Kane only having a year left on his contract.

And 90min claim, via sources, that Real Madrid have assigned the 29-year-old as their top target should Karim Benzema leave the Bernabeu on a free transfer this summer.

Kane would add an extra dimension to United's attack, with Football Insider reporting that manager Erik ten Hag sees the England striker's profile as ideal for his style of play.

And Mount, who is also a United target, has already told United exactly how Kane will help them - aside from simply his goalscoring.

Mount quotes on Kane re-emerge

As well as his ability to find the back of the net, Kane is also effective when it comes to hold-up play, with his passing attributes also strong.

But speaking in November ahead of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, Mount commented on one part of Kane's training which makes him an ideal fit for United.

He explained (quotes via football.london): "In training I don't think I've seen him - well, obviously he's missed maybe a few, but two [chances] in a row? Never. Never seen him miss two in a row.

"And just the way he strikes the ball, the way he picks the corner and hits it. Yeah, special."

United had an average of 15.6 shots per game during the 2022/23 Premier League season (via WhoScored) - a tally only bettered by four other teams.

However, they ranked number seven on the list for number of goals scored, meaning a player such as Kane could position United to launch a title challenge next season.

Mount has also been linked with a move to Old Trafford, with The Telegraph reporting on Wednesday that the 24-year-old had agreed personal terms with United.

Speaking prior to the 2021 Champions League, Kane was full of praise for his England team-mate, describing him as 'special'.

He said (quotes via Manchester Evening News): "Mason is a fantastic player. Great on the ball, great work ethic.

"He wins balls back, makes tackles, it's an underrated part of his game. He's a truly special player."
