Former Chelsea Midfielder And Cult Hero Ramires Is Completely Unrecognisable These Days

Who saw this coming?

Former Chelsea midfielder Ramires made a rare public appearance in one of the club's recent posts to Instagram and he's almost unrecognisable from his playing days.

The Brazil international left Stamford Bridge in 2016 for Chinese Super League outfit Jiangsu Suning and also had a spell back in his homeland with Palmeiras.

He's been without a club since 2020 and disappeared from the limelight - that is, until now.

Ramires featured in a video alongside former teammates Willian, Cesc Fabregas and Michael Essien to wish Chelsea luck in the FA Cup final against Liverpool.

In his message he says: "Hi guys, Ramires here. Just wanted to wish you [the] best of luck before the FA Cup final. Let's have a repeat of our final win 10 years ago against Liverpool! Good luck guys!"

Ramires won the FA Cup as a Chelsea player in addition to a League Cup, Premier League, Europa League and Champions League.

The 35-year-old achieved all that without changing his style up too much - rocking a shaved head and no beard.

He's clearly put some time into growing that lovely barnet and facial hair in recent years.

Fans watched the video and couldn't believe what they were seeing.

One commented: "Ramires' glow-up is unbelievable."

Another added: "I was looking at Ramires thinking who tf is this guy?"

A third said: "Ramires looks so different."

While someone tweeted: "My guy de-aged after leaving us."

Bet you weren't expecting to read about Ramires today, but here we are.

Chelsea would go on to lose the FA Cup final 6-5 on penalties after a 0-0 draw in 120 minutes of action.

Mason Mount saw his penalty saved by Alisson and Kostas Tsimikas scored the winner to give Jurgen Klopp's side their second trophy of the season.

An unprecedented quadruple is still on for Liverpool following Manchester City's 2-2 draw with West Ham United.

Liverpool will need two wins in their final two Premier League games against Southampton and Wolverhampton Wanderers, and hope City drop points to Aston Villa to be crowned champions.

Once their domestic business is wrapped up, they'll jet out to Paris to face Real Madrid in the Champions League final.
