Real Madrid star Raul Asencio could reportedly face criminal proceedings for allegedly distributing a sex tape involving a minor.
The 22-year-old defender was included in Madrid's starting XI as Los Blancos took on Mallorca in a crucial La Liga clash at the Bernabeu.
However, reports emerged ahead of kick-off that Asencio, along with three other footballers, could face legal proceedings.

As reported by The Athletic, the decision came from the San Bartolome de Tirajana court in Gran Canaria, after the conclusion of an investigation into allegations of recording and distributing sexual content of two women without their consent, one of whom was underage.
Along with Asencio, the other three players in question were named as Ferran Ruiz, Juan Rodriguez, and Andres Garcia.
It has been claimed that the case was related to an alleged incident which took place at a beach club on the island back in 2023.
Back in September 2023, it was reported that Ruiz, Rodriguez and Garcia were arrested, and Asencio was called in to give a testimony as a witness.

The Madrid player then became a part of the investigation, which was led by Spanish law enforcement, the Guardia Civil.
Back then, Madrid said that 'a Castilla player and three Real Madrid C players' made statements to the Guardia Civil 'relating to a complaint about the alleged broadcasting of a private video via WhatsApp'.
The club added: "When the club has detailed knowledge of the facts, we will take the appropriate measures."

On Wednesday, a statement from the court confirmed that the original investigation had come to an end.
An official document said: "It qualifies (the players’) actions as allegedly constitutive of crimes of discovery of secrets without consent and violation of privacy (article 197.1 of the Penal Code), of distribution and sending to third parties of the videos without warning the victims or their consent (article 197.3) and of recruitment or use of minors for pornographic purposes and possession of the videos without their consent (article 197.4) and of possession of the videos without the consent of the victims (article 197.4)."
Moving forward, it has been suggested that the case will now be dealt with by the Public Prosecutor's Office.
The report stated that the Public Prosecutor's Office can decide to either file an indictment and request the opening of a trial against the alleged offenders or request the case to be closed.

The decision made by the Public Prosecutor's Office will then be subject to appeal.
