Arsenal star reacts to setting PL record vs Fulham with brilliant comment

Arsenal star Leandro Trossard has reacted to setting a new Premier League record.

Arsenal star Leandro Trossard was quick to react after setting a new Premier League record in his side's 3-0 win over Fulham.

The Gunners produced an excellent display at Craven Cottage on Sunday to restore their five-point advantage over Manchester City at the top of the league table.

Gabriel Magalhaes, Gabriel Martinelli and Martin Odegaard all got on the scoresheet in the victory. Meanwhile, there was more good news for Mikel Arteta's side as Gabriel Jesus returned from injury, having not played for the club since November.

The star of the show, however, was Trossard. The Belgian, who signed for the Gunners from Brighton in January, produced his best statistical display since arriving at the Emirates Stadium.

The winger produced three assists in the first half - making him the first player in the history of the Premier League to reach the feat in an away game.

And he had a brilliant reaction to the record.

Taking to Instagram, Trossard had a short yet effective message for Arsenal fans, which perfectly pointed to the scale of his achievement.

Alongside a photo of the team celebrating at Craven Cottage, he wrote: "Hi, how may I assist you?"

The phrase was often used when Mesut Ozil was at Arsenal, with the German midfielder known for racking up incredible assist numbers.

He provided 19 assists in the 2014/15 season, and ranks third in the all-time Arsenal assists table since records began.

Trossard, meanwhile, is now on seven assists for the current campaign, and was praised by manager Arteta after the win.

The Spaniard said (quotes via football.london): "He got three assists and could have scored two. I think he was really impressive.

"Not only that, he had an injury three days ago which could have taken a week, or another 10 days, but he was really willing to come back early and the doctors and medical staff did a lot of good work to get that.

"It makes a big difference to the team. We needed him today and his contribution was superb.

"He's really clever to understand straight away what we want, what's required. He's executed it really well."
