Joshua 'exploded' after his crushing defeat to Usyk as he was unable to reclaim the world heavyweight titles.

The British fighter grabbed the mic and delivered an emotional message in a bizarre outburst.

Joshua also had an interesting exchange with Usyk, with Sky Sports Boxing revealing the conversation between the heavyweight boxers.

Joshua approached Usyk at the end of their fight and said: "Well done."

As they embraced, Usyk replied: "You are very strong guy. Listen, you're very strong."

Joshua continued: "I don't care about strong. I have to have skills.

"Being strong doesn't win boxing. Skills win boxing.

"You're not strong. How did you beat me? How?

"Because of skill. I had character and determination."

Promoter Eddie Hearn admitted Joshua 'exploded' after his third professional defeat of his career.

Speaking after the result, the Matchroom chief said: "You saw the reaction from AJ, and that was from a human who wanted to win so badly with so much pressure on his shoulders.

"I think he just exploded because he lost and he was devastated, and he’s given everything to try and win this fight. He couldn’t win the fight, he’s a competitor, he’s a winner but this man’s too good."

Joshua is on a two-fight losing skid having lost back-to-back matches to Usyk.

The 32-year-old released a defiant post on social media in wake of his defeat and expressed his desire to return to the ring in November/December.

As for Usyk, he appears to be in line to face Tyson Fury in a blockbuster undisputed showdown.
