Chelsea have been quizzed by former player Glen Johnson for not signing Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus this summer.
Thomas Tuchel’s side have made two additions so far in the summer transfer window, signing Jesus’ former Manchester City teammate Raheem Sterling before bringing Kalidou Koulibaly to Stamford Bridge from Napoli.
Jesus has hit the ground running in pre-season for the Gunners, netting in their 4-0 triumph over Chelsea.
The Blues have struggled in attack for the past few seasons, with Romelu Lukaku ending last season as their top goalscorer.

The season was an unsuccessful one for the Belgian, however, and despite a £97.5 million club-record move, he was granted a loan back to Inter Milan this summer.

It remains to be seen as to who will lead the line for Chelsea this season, with Kai Havertz the only recognised central figure from last season.
Sterling can play through the middle, with Armando Broja also returning from loan from Southampton and being given the opportunity to impress.
Due to the lack of central figures in Chelsea’s attack, former player Johnson has had his say on who they should have signed.
Speaking to ggrecon.com, he said: “A striker that's already performed within the Premier League is always better than a striker brought in from a different league. They've already established what they're capable of.
“With Gabriel Jesus, I think Chelsea should have bit Manchester City's arm off to try and get him to be honest. Actually, I'm surprised that City even let him go.
"And I'm certainly surprised that he's ended up at Arsenal.
“Again, no offence to Arsenal, but I'm pretty certain that, if Chelsea had wanted him, he would have gone to Chelsea.
“It's bizarre how he left and it's bizarre where he's landed. For me, Jesus is a top player and, though he's still young, he's already done it for a top team in a top league, so why wouldn't you want him?”

It remains to be seen as to whether Chelsea will regret not chasing the Brazilian as they enter the new season.
There could still be further reinforcement to Tuchel’s side as they look to compete on all fronts once again.
Robert Lewandowski was also linked with a move to Stamford Bridge before the Poland international opted to join Barcelona.
The central striker market is looking difficult to manouvre in the transfer window so we could see Chelsea hand responsibility to Havertz once more this season.
