Players have already turned to social media to claim that FIFA 21 includes a hidden scripting mechanic.
Fans have long held to the belief that scripting in FIFA exists as they insist that a line of the code is tweaked to change the momentum of a match if it's too one-sided.
EA Sports has vehemently denied that scripting exists in FIFA, but that hasn't stopped fans from arguing that it is there.
One Twitter user posted: "I think the rubber band scripting in Fifa [sic] 21 is maybe the worst it's been... just had a game tied up in the 9th minute of stoppage. There was only supposed to be 3 minutes. I had possession in their half for the first 8 minutes, no whistles or fouls or throw ins... FFS."

While another simply tweeted: "Fifa [sic] 21 has the worst scripting in years."
A third said: "Fifa [sic] 21 still got scripting, rebounds falling to opponents, last min goals, defenders moving sooooo sus [...]."
And a fourth added: "How can u [sic] like fifa 21 its a shambles absolute full of scripting honestly."
Meanwhile, YouTube user A2 has uploaded a video to 'prove' that scripting exists in FIFA 21.

The FIFA 21 player claims that the scripting mechanic "kicks in" in the 55th minute "where it becomes clear as day."
