Yaya Sanogo Has Found Himself A New Club

The Arsenal cult hero only left the Emirates last week.

July 1st is the day that all footballers who aren't being kept on by their clubs officially see their contracts end. That meant John Terry stopped being a Chelsea player, but the bigger news was Yaya Sanogo but now the former Arsenal man has a new club.

All the talk last weekend was of the sad reality that John Terry was about to leave Chelsea. But soon enough Terry was no longer a one club man as he'd signed for Aston Villa just days after his release.

But what about the players who aren't lucky enough to be able to turn down the Premier League just so they don't have the balls to come up against their former club, yeah I said it, but still land on their feet with a new club?

Well have no fears about Yaya Sanogo because the legendary former Arsenal player has got himself a new club.

Having been on loan from the Emirates for what seemed like forever the French striker was released last week by Arsene Wenger but it's not taken him long to get a new team. He's moved back to France to play for Toulouse:

In this age of clubs trying to be clever on social media to announce their new signings I've got to be honest I'm not sure what the club's "The floor is Yaya" is on about as that's what you're supposed to avoid and they've just signed him!

Sanogo signed for the Gunners in the summer of 2013 from Auxerre when he was a relative unknown and became a bit of a running joke and the epitome of the kind of player Arsene Wenger was signing at the time, rather than experienced proven striker.

He scored just one goal in 20 appearances across four seasons at Arsenal, proving exactly why he was a bit of a laughing stock.

Loan spells to Ajax, Charlton and Crystal Palace saw him score another four goals, hardly a good return.

Now he's back in France maybe he can reset his career and kick on.
