Arsenal fan Piers Morgan wants the Gunners to break their transfer record after sealing the deal for Declan Rice.

On Wednesday, it was widely reported that Arsenal have agreed a fee of £100 million plus £5 million in performance-related add-ons for West Ham captain Rice.

Ever since the 22/23 season finished, Rice has been strongly linked with a move away from the London Stadium.

This week, Manchester City launched a bid of £90 million but they later pulled out of the race when Arsenal offered the £105 million package.

Rice is now set to undergo a medical and complete the formalities of the transfer.

Now, Gunners fan Morgan has urged the club to splash the cash again, this time on Napoli’s highly-rated striker Victor Osimhen.

He wrote on his Twitter account: “It’s brilliant that Arsenal seem to have won the race to sign @_DeclanRice who will be a monstrously good addition to the team.

“But if we want to win big trophies, we also need a world-class striker who will score 25+ goals a season. I’d break the bank for @victorosimhen9 #afc.”

Over the last few weeks, Osimhen has been heavily linked with a move away from Italian Serie A champions Napoli.

The likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint Germain are all said to be interested in signing the 24-year-old.

However, Napoli’s £150 million valuation is currently preventing any transfers from materialising.

In the 22/23 season, Osimhen made a total of 39 appearances across all competitions for Napoli, scoring 31 goals and assisting five.

Back in March, Osimhen spoke about his dream of playing in the Premier League.

He said: “A lot of people worldwide consider the Premier League as the best and the strongest league but now I'm in one of the best leagues in the world which is the Italian Serie A.

“I'm working so hard to make sure that I achieve my dream of playing in the Premier League some day but like I said, it's a process and I just want to keep on this momentum and continue to do well.”
