Having offloaded both Andres Iniesta and Paulinho to the Far East, Barcelona are in desperate need of a central midfielder in the summer and it appears as though they have they have firmly set their sights on Chelsea's N'Golo Kante.
The 27-year old has risen from an unknown quantity in the lower echelons of French football, to becoming arguably the best in the world in his role, excelling for both club and country.
He won back-to-back Premier League titles with Leicester City and Chelsea respectively, winning the PFA Player of the Year in 2016/17 after his £32 million to Stamford Bridge.

Kante has also been utterly phenomenal in France's run to the World Cup campaign and has value will have undoubtedly skyrocketed - meaning Barcelona will have to pay some out some big bucks to acquire their top target.
However, transfer guru Gianluca Di Marzio says that the La Liga winners are considering trying to include Andre Gomes in a potential deal.
Gomes already looks nailed on to leave and couldn't be more out of favour.

In his 31 outings in the double-winning 2017/18 campaign, the 24-year old played 90 minutes on just five occasions and his last appearance came on 17 April when he played 60 minutes in a 2-2 draw with Celta Vigo.
He was even booed by his own supporters on occasion and gave a heartbreaking interview about his situation in March, detailing that he didn't even want to leave his house because of "fear" and "shame".
Kante, meanwhile, has been uber consistent for a while now and was impressive in Chelsea's 3-0 Champions League round of 16 defeat at the Nou Camp last season.

Lionel Messi stole the show that night but Kante's performance was absolutely sensational and clearly didn't go unnoticed in Catalonia.
Chelsea winger Willian has also been linked with Barcelona, who have reportedly tabled two bids for the Brazilian.
