Watchmakers Hublot has announced the release of its very first Smart watch.
Hublot worked in collaboration with FIFA and formulated their own contraption for the upcoming World Cup in Russia.
It's called - (deep breath) - the Hublot Big Bang Referee 2018 World Cup Russia:tm: Connected Watch.
Woah, that's a mouthful. Couldn't they have thought of anything a tad shorter or slicker?

"Darling, could you go into the draw and get my Hublot Big Bang Referee 2018 World Cup Russia:tm: Connected Watch, please?"
It doesn't really work.
Anyway, this watch is clever because, as all you Sherlocks out there have probably worked out by its name already, it's going to help referees at this summer's World Cup with all their refereeing stuff.
By the word 'stuff' what's really meant is goal-line technology. The watch will work in conjunction with the camera's by the ball and will inform the ref whether a goal has crossed the goal-line or not.

This neat piece of equipment also flashes 'goal' every time one is scored and can also display other snippets of information, such as the score, name of player, player changes, goal scorers and more.
Basically, it tells you things that any human that's watching the game could say to you anyway.

Hublot's new watch will be shown at Baselworld 2018, an annual event which is a must for every watch enthusiast out there, which we suspected is most of the SPORTbible readership.
So you if you fancied a sneak-peak at this new gadget and happen to enjoy neutrality, cheese, and needless watches, get yourself to Switzerland.
