Lucas Torreira broke down in tears at the abuse Granix Xhaka received as he was substituted against Crystal Palace on Sunday.
Xhaka was dragged off in the 61st minute to a chorus of boos and the Arsenal captain reacted by cupping his ears then gesturing to the crowd.

The abuse aimed at Xhaka effected Torreira who cut an emotional figure from the sideline, with Hector Bellerin consoling the teary-eyed Uruguayan.
Arsenal's chief photographer Stuart MacFarlane took to social media to reveal the moving pictures of Torreira.
The images of Torreira became the talking point of the online Arsenal community.

"Should be playing with him," one Twitter user wrote.
A second Tweeted: "This guy seriously needs to be playing."
A third added: "The fans shouldn't be booing our own player, Xhaka shouldn't have reacted in the way he did, Torreira shouldn't have to be in tears for his teammate. This all stems from Emery's p**s poor man management and team selection."
Speaking after the 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace, Emery said: "We are going to speak with him. In one moment he was very hot. His reaction was wrong.

"Xhaka was wrong. Now we need to stay calm and speak to him inside the club about that reaction.
"We are here because we have supporters. We play for them and need to respect them, whether they applaud or criticise.
"Now is not the time to speak about the captaincy but we are working with every player to manage dealing with the pressure."
