Pete Crouch Deletes Tweet Following Karius Second Mistake

Crouchy had a moment of madness, it seems.

Peter Crouch has deleted a Tweet that seemed to attack Loris Karius after the German's mistake awarded Gareth Bale a second goal in the Champions League final.

Despite being the favourites it was somehow a slight shock to see Real Madrid win the Champions League. Liverpool's European ventures this season has been a magical tale but ending didn't live up to the engrossing narrative.

The game, which ended 3-1 to Madrid, had a number of talking points, like Bale's overhead kick which might knock his manager's volley against Bayer Leverkusen off its perch as greatest goal in the Champions League final.

But Loris Karius' two howlers in the final and his tears and begging of forgiveness from the travelling supporters is another key point to the game.

The German has done well to earn a place as number one keeper at Liverpool but, like Mignolet, there is a mistake in him.

And former Reds player Crouch hasn't helped matters. After Karius' second mistake which saw Bale score, the towering Stoke City forward tweeted the name of the Reds' last greatest goalkeeper, Pepe Reina.

Crouchy tweeted his name but must've felt bad afterwards as he soon deleted it.

Reina is currently at Serie A side Napoli and has just enjoyed a good season there, with the side finishing runners-up in the league, missing out on the title to the ruthless Juventus.

But the Spaniad has been linked with a move back to Liverpool this summer, with club looking for reliable man between the sticks.

There's no question of Karius' ability but mistakes like the ones he made in the final show why Liverpool need to bring in someone else.
