FIFA To Work With Qatar To Explore Expanding 2022 World Cup To 48 Teams

FIFA have officially confirmed that they'll work with Qatar to make the 2022 World Cup a 48-team tournament.

Of course, that'll be a massive increase from the current 32-team format.

FIFA president Gianni Infantino says the governing body will explore expanding the next World Cup. It'll look to see which nations could host games.

Further talks are to take place in the summer with a final decision to be made in June.
