On the 17th May 2016, Spain announced their 25 man provisional squad to try and dominate EURO 2016 as the likes of David de Gea, Sergio Ramos, Andres Iniesta, David Silva and Alvaro Morata aim to clinch their fourth European title in the tournaments 56 year history.

Spain and Germany are the most successful side in European Championship history and Vincente del Bosque has bravely left out a number of big names ahead of this years tournament in France.

Notable names from the Premier League who miss out on the squad include Juan Mata, Santi Cazorla, Hector Bellerin, Nacho Monreal and Chelsea forward Diego Costa, who was expected to be included despite injury.
